The Rescuer Scholarship

The Mission
At Rescuer, our mission goes beyond providing essential equipment and services—we’re passionate about supporting the next generation of firefighters. We understand the sacrifices and challenges faced by those dedicated to protecting their communities. That’s why we offer the Rescuer Scholarship: a $1,500 scholarship designed to assist self-sponsored firefighter recruits at the Alabama Fire College.
The Goal
As a firefighter-owned business, Rescuer’s goal is to not only invest in our current firefighters but also our future firefighters and help them with the financial burden of becoming a firefighter.
Scholarship Details
This scholarship is awarded to a recruit who displays natural leadership, integrity, and resilience. The ideal recipient is someone who stands out for their strong work ethic, positive attitude, and commitment to excellence in both the classroom and physical training. These individuals inspire their peers and go above and beyond, setting the bar for future firefighters.
Rescuer is proud to support recruits who exemplify these qualities, ensuring that our firefighters are fully prepared to answer the call of duty and serve their communities with honor.
Scholarship Eligibility
The Rescuer Scholarship is awarded to recruits enrolled at the Alabama Fire College who are:
- Self-sponsored (not employed by a fire department)
- Maintaining good grades in the classroom thought recruit school
- Demonstrating strong work ethic, integrity, and leadership
Selection Process
Fire College instructors identify a select group of outstanding candidates who embody these qualities. Once selected, each candidate is interviewed by the Rescuer Team. The Rescuer team will then choose 2 recruits to receive the scholarship at the end of the recruit school.
Award & Impact
The recipients of the Rescuer Scholarship receives financial assistance to help cover the costs of training, ensuring they can focus on excelling in the program. This scholarship empowers future firefighters to pursue their calling with less of a financial burden.
